Statement of the Defendant

FOLIO 118

Disproof of the "Third Incident" (The Jamming Session)

I categorically deny these allegations of sexual harassment during the Jamming Session and consider them to be completely fabricated with malicious and malafide intents. This jamming session was a rehearsal for a performance that I and Meesha had to do in Islamabad for a concert the next day. The session was mutually decided to be held in my house because my house has a state-of-the-art facility to conduct such type of live music sessions.

At this session, there were nine other musicians that were hired to perform for the said event. Meesha arrived with her manager Mr. Farhan for the jamming session; when she came, she greeted me with a hug in a very cordial way and she left in the same manner with a hug and gratitude. This session lasted between 45 to 60 minutes. It is humanly and logically impossible for such an incident of harassment to have happened in between so many people including girls without being noticed.

Moreover, the next day, Meesha Shafi pleasantly came and did also the sound check with me for the concert. After the concert finished, Miss Shafi specifically herself sent a WhatsApp message to me saying "had a great time jamming and performing and so grateful for the kind words Ali had to say on stage". Further to this, Miss Meesha herself posted a picture with me at the concert on her Twitter.
